Authorizing Anthony M. Campisano, Esq., to Undertake Any and All Necessary Action For the Township to Acquire Property Located at 3763 Route 1 (Block 92.02, Lot 14.05)

WHEREAS, Anthony M. Campisano, Esq., was appointed as the Assistant Township Attorney by resolution dated January 5, 2026, following a "fair and open process," as defined by N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the contract calls for Anthony M. Campisano, Esq., to perform legal services described in Section 14-7A (4) of the Code of the Township of South Brunswick for an hourly fee, together with out-of-pocket costs and expenses; and
WHEREAS, Anthony M. Campisano, Esq., has indicated that he can represent the Township and undertake all action necessary, including discussions with the property owners, regarding the Township's interest in acquiring property commonly known as 3763 Route 1 (Block 92.02, Lot 14.05); and
WHEREAS, this expenditure, in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00, shall be charged to Account Number 01-201-20-155-698; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this purpose and a certification of availability of funds has been provided by the Samantha Rampacek, Chief Financial Officer; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Law is satisfied that said certification is in proper form.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED on this 7th day of October 2026, by the Township Council of the Township of South Brunswick, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that:
A contract shall be and is hereby authorized and ratified with Anthony M. Campisano, Esq., to represent the Township and undertake all action necessary, including discussions with the property owners, regarding the Township's interest in acquiring property commonly known as 3763 Route 1 (Block 92.02, Lot 14.05).
