Awarding a Contract with Alaimo Associates for Professional Planning Services for The Deliverable of a Redevelopment Plan for the Sonesta Suites 2 Properties

WHEREAS, the Township of South Brunswick has a need to acquire professional planning services for the deliverable of a Redevelopment Plan for the Sonesta Suites 2 properties (Block 99, Lots 11.10), and wishes to award a contract for such services pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5; and,
WHEREAS, Alaimo Associates has submitted a proposal dated September 23, 2026, indicating that it can provide the necessary services in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00; and
WHEREAS, Alaimo Associates has completed and submitted a Business Entity Disclosure Certification, which certifies that it has not made any reportable contributions to a political or candidate committee in the Township of South Brunswick in the previous one year; and
WHEREAS, the contract will prohibit Alaimo Associates from making any reportable contributions through the term of the contract; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this purpose and a certification of availability of funds has been provided by Samantha Rampacek, CFO from Account No.32-286-55-305; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Law is satisfied that said certification is in proper form;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED on this 7th day of October, 2026, by the Township Council of the Township of South Brunswick, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that:
. A contract be and is hereby authorized with Alaimo Associates, for it to provide the necessary professional planning services for the deliverable of a Redevelopment Plan for the Sonesta Suites 2 properties (Block 99, Lots 11.10), in accordance with its proposal dated September 23, 2026.
2. This expenditure, not to exceed $15,000.00, shall be charged to Account No. 32-286-55-305.
3. The Business Entity Disclosure Certification and the Determination of Value shall be placed on file with this resolution.
4. Notice of the award of this contract shall be published once in the Home News Tribune.
