Authorizing the Purchasing Agent to Purchase One 14 Yard Open Top Hooklift Container Under State Contract

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 provides that any contracting unit may, without advertising for bids, purchase any materials, supplies or equipment under any contract entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the Township of South Brunswick, needs to purchase One14 Yard Open Top Hooklift Container under the appropriate State contract for such an item; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Officer has recommended that One 14 Yard Open Top Hooklift Container be purchased under the following State contract and the Recycling Coordinator has approved said recommendation; and

WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in acct. # 05-286-55-202 and acct. # 08-286-55-203
in order to award the contract; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Law is satisfied that said certification is in proper form.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED on this 7th day of October 2026 by the Township
Council of the Township of South Brunswick, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that:
1. The Purchasing Officer is authorized to purchase One14 Yard Open Top Hooklift
Container under the appropriate State contract.
2. This expenditure, are not to exceed $ 10,124.66 shall be charged to the following accounts
acct. # 05-286-55-202 $ 7,124.66 and acct. 05-286-55-203 $ 3,000.00 in order to award this
contract in an amount not to exceed $ 10,124.66.
3. The Township Manager or his designee and Township Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute the necessary contract documents.
